A: A Direct Repair Shop means the insurance company has authorized the shop to write the estimate for them. To get on this program the shop goes through a vigorous inspection process and must have all of the proper equipment, training and licenses before they are approved. Sam's Automotive is an approved DRP shop for Allstate, GEICO, Hartford and Farmers.
Q: What kind of Warranty do you offer?
A: If you are insured through a DRP, then you have a nationwide warranty for as long as you own the vehicle. Sam's Automotive offers a 5 year limited warranty on workmanship for all other repairs.
Q: How should I take care of my new paint job?
A: Here are a few helpful hints for a new paint job.
After your repair we will wax your car for you.
Do not go through a car wash that uses brushes.
Hand-wash with mild soap & water.
Dry with a soft cloth or chamois.
Remove tar or grease with a recommended cleaner.
Immediately rinse oil, gas or brake fluid off with water.
Polish every six months or as oxidation appears.
Wax after each polishing.
Note: New paint should be hand washed and dried for the first thirty days with no wax applied
Q: How long will it take to repair my vehicle?
A: There are a lot of variables. Our guideline is five business days for every $1000 of repair. We are a high volume shop and will get you back on the road quickly.
